How To Make Money With Twitter
First of All, What is Twitter?
Twitter is a micro-blogging service.
Micro-blogging is sharing short messages of up to 140 characters that are posted and kept as a blog.
Twitter is not the only service of such kind, but it has left all its competitors far behind.
The number of active Twitter users is now about 20 million, which makes it
the fourth social network after Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn. You can not but wonder about that, can you?
So, how do you make money from Twitter?
1. Register a Twitter-account.
2. Fill it with interesting content and promote it.
3. Get followers.
4. Post ad-links or sell tweets via Sponsored Tweets or ad.ly.
The key point here is the number of followers.
The more followers you have, the more they click your refs and correspondingly the more money you'll get from selling your tweets via Sponsored Tweets and ad.ly.
How do you get followers?
In general, there are two ways to do that.
The first and trivial one is: just be as fly as John Chow, or Ashton Kutcher having over 3.9 million followers, or Kim Kardashian. Or be a man of light and leading in your field, whatever it is – computers, kennels or alopecia, - and thousands and or even millions users will follow you.
In case you’re not a supercool dude, you have but the second way to use. This is finding mutual friends.
Just follow all in a row or - better - follow those users who may be interested in your topic, with a hope that they will follow you back. In two or three days unfollow those who haven’t followed you, and go on following new users.
Let’s try manual following first.
Start a Twitter-search on your topic, say, iPhone.

You’ll get the latest tweets on your subject.

Click every user from the list and follow him or her. Go back and repeat the same thing again and again.
A good thousand follows per day is tough, isn’t it? Just imagine.
But this isn’t everything. Don't expect that every user will follow you back, You were followed back by 10% users? Lucky you! It is usually about 5% at most.
After a while you should delete those who haven’t followed you back. Two days are usually enough to check e-mail and decide who you are going to follow. You may take three days though.
Go to the list of you follows, open each one in turn, and see who haven't followed you. Now unfollow them.
900 users per day.
Pretty hard task, ah?
Right.
Let’s try to find the way to automate the process.
See, there are a lot of programs and services to do that. For instance, Hummingbird, Twitter Friend Adder… You can google skinful of progs.
But they all don’t come near Tweet Adder.

The program is unbelievably convenient and functional. It boasts a pile of settings, several types of keyword search and so on. Other similar programs are just not to be compared with it.
How to use Tweet Adder
Buy as many licenses as you need, and install the program. The process is rather standard, so I won’t explain it in details.
Start the prog. Enter the key.

Add your twitter-account: the username and the password. Here in the screenshots I have my accounts added already; you will have these fields empty.

If you have several Twitter-accounts, you can also register them now.
Now single-click your account in the list so as it becomes blue and click to log-in.

The main working window will open.

We don’t need the upper menu right now, you can look into it later.
The menu that we need is the lower tabs (underlined in red).
Search
First make a list of users who you are going to make friends with. The first tab is ‘Search’.

As you can see, there are five options:
- Search by Tweet Keywords
- Search by Profile Data
- Search by Location
- Search by Followers of Another User
- Search Users Followed by Another User
We found some thousand “thematic” users; Then add the results into the database.
In the left log you see
how these users were added to the database.

Follow
Here you set the mode of following users.

Don’t click any buttons, ‘cause it will all be in autopilot mode.
So the first rate is ‘# to send’ – this is how many users you can follow per one run, and ‘Maximum followers per day’ is your limit per 24 hours.
It is 1000 users at most.
The second line is ‘Follow back’, - you don’t need it at all. Your goal is more followers and less follows, right? That means it doesn’t matter what you type-in there, 'cause you won’t use this option (you’ll see it later in ‘Automation’).
In ‘Time delay between follows’ please choose something reasonable. Don’t put zero, - you will look like a robot. And don’t choose more than 20, as the process will be very sluggish then.
In ‘Stop follows when ratio reaches…’ 1.5:1 is set by default. You may leave it as it is. Then you will have at most 150 follows per every 100 followers, so your Followers to Friends Ratio will be decent and more users will want to follow you.
Of course, you will have to choose 4:1 or even 5:1 at first when you just begin; later in a few days you will come back to 1.5:1.
Make sure to enter a tick here!
UnFollow
Here in this tab you set the mode of unfollowing the users who haven’t followed you.

Like in the ‘Follow’ tab, ‘# to UnFollow’ and ‘# to UnFollow per day’ mean how many users you will unfollow per one run and one day (24 hours).
In ‘Time delay’ put a reasonable number too.
‘Stop unfollowing when ratio reaches’ – you don’t need it, to my mind. But you can still futz around with it.
The ‘Only Unfollow users that were followed using TweetAdder’ option is very useful. Just in case you follow users without any prog and don't want it to unfollow them.
I've written above how long you'll have to wait, - it's two or three days. It is usually three days. Impatient ones may wait two days; the process will be 1.5 times faster, but there is still a chance to loose somebody.
Messages
Here you can set the schedule of DM, direct messages.

‘Thanks for following’ is another useful option in the direct messages tab.
Tweets
Here you write your tweets and set the schedule for them to post.
Replies
It works in the same way.
Automation
You can control the process here. All settings that you customized in the previous tabs are launched here.

The first tick starts the process when you login.
Then the automated process of following and unfollowing starts. When the account is open, see the number of followed and unfollowed users in the corresponding tabs. I hope this is clear.
Like I've written above you don’t need ‘Follow back’; however it’s up to you.
If you want to send messages, tick the last line. And if you want to post tweets, look at the top.
Actually, this is all.
Now go to ‘Accounts -> Switch Accounts’ and switch to the first screen.

In case you have several Twitter-accounts, login or just switch to each of them if you put your user info before). Make all necessary settings for each account you have.
When you customized all your accounts, launch the process: tick the accounts you want to work and click ‘Run Automated Tasks’.

When the account is activated, the prog will start to follow and unfollow users, and the number of them will be exactly what you set in the corresponding tabs. Unfollow, follow, messages, tweets, - as soon as one run is over, the program will switch to the next account.
When all accounts are over, in the right lower log you will see: ‘Finished Automated Tasks’. Then you should switch to the first screen again and click ‘Run Automated Tasks’.
As you can see, Tweet Adder is an easy, automatized and fast tool to get an unlimited number of followers.
And make sure you registered accounts at
Sponsored Tweets and
ad.ly services!
